These terms govern your use of FrostyPal — the mobile app, the marketing site at frostypal.eu, and the backend service that synchronises your fridges. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms.
Who we are
FrostyPal is operated by Haloceteki Studio, a small independent team based in Luxembourg. You can reach us at hello@frostypal.eu.
Accounts
You sign in through a Haloceteki account. You’re responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for activity that happens under your account. Let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
You must be old enough to enter a contract in your country. If you’re using FrostyPal for a household with other members, you’re responsible for the access you grant them.
What you can do with FrostyPal
FrostyPal helps you keep track of perishable food, share fridges with people you live with, and find recipes that use up what you have. The service is provided “as is” — we’re not liable for food spoilage, missed alerts, or other operational consequences of relying on the app.
Your content
You own the recipes, photos, and notes you create. When you submit a recipe for public review and it gets approved, it becomes readable by other FrostyPal users. You can withdraw or unpublish at any time; admin moderation can also remove content that breaks these terms.
Recipes imported from third-party sources (TheMealDB, URL imports) remain subject to their original licences.
Acceptable use
- Don’t use the service for anything illegal or to harass anyone.
- Don’t try to break, scrape, or overload the backend.
- Don’t submit recipes that infringe someone else’s copyright.
- Don’t impersonate other users or platform staff.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section.
Subscriptions and payments
FrostyPal is currently free. If we introduce paid features later, we’ll explain the terms before you opt in. These terms will be updated and you’ll get a heads-up.
Changes to the service
We may add, change, or remove features over time. We’ll try to give meaningful notice when we change something that affects you directly (account deletion, data export, etc.).
Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is permanent after a 30-day grace period — we keep a soft-delete window so accidental deletions can be undone by contacting support.
Liability
To the extent allowed by law, Haloceteki Studio isn’t liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be legally limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Luxembourg. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts in Luxembourg.
